My mother was born in 1918 and and died in 2020 at the age of 102. As predicted by the Guerrilla Girls, her interest in art was not discovered until her family was well and truly off her hands (like mother, like daughter). She started painting late in life, but discovered a passion for art that lived with her until the day she died. My portrait shows her at the easel, a familiar sight for many years. The gallery below shows some of the paintings she did after her 100th birthday.
